Letters to GiGi

The letters in the background are all love letters from various lovers around the world…found on the internet. 

Also, GiGi is short for ghostly girl, which is what carol called the original charcoal drawing before it had it’s final name.

“Journey” print. First collaboration piece we finished.

Journey is the first official collaboration between Aldo and Carol. It started out as a doodle Carol was making, and decided to discard because she didn’t like how it was turning out. Aldo decided to give it a try to see if he could turn it into something Carol liked. 

Before either of them had realized, they had scanned it onto the computer, picked a theme and started taking turns painting over it in photoshop. After all was said and done, they ended up with something that was much more different than either of them would ever make on their own. And that’s how BrokeBot was formed. The start of their collaborative journey together. 

We made a video of it too, a time-lapse set to music. :)
